White Sands
Missile Range Museum
Archival Holdings
Did you or do you live or work at White Sands Proving Ground/Missile Range.
If so, we would like your assistance in helping piece together and preserve the
history of White Sands. This applies to Military, DOD Civilians, or
Contractors, as well as any family members who resided at White Sands. For
recent or current residents or workers, remember that today's happenings will be
tomorrow's history.
To accommodate the submission of your story or stories, we have provided a
submission page, which will be linked below. Some information and things
to remember follow:
Do not include information, which may still be classified.
If in doubt, leave it out!
Because of inappropriate, vulgar
entries, these pages are now "moderated," meaning that anything you enter
will not appear immediately on the "Read Stories" pages. When the
webmaster takes action to release the story, it will then be displayed.
Because of SPAM entries with
Junk/Illegal website links, the Guest Stories database will not accept any
entry with a URL link to a website. So, don't include a link in your
entry.
You may enter one long story, to cover your life or time at White
Sands, or you may break it into two or more submissions covering segments
of your story or the story of a specific happening.
Unless you select the "Privacy" option at the bottom of the form, your
name and story will be available to website visitors to read at the "Read
Stories" page, also linked below.
The e-mail entry on the submission page is for use by the Museum
personnel to contact you if there are questions or if they need
clarification. It will not be displayed on the "Read Stories" page.
If you want people to be able to communicate with you, either by phone,
e-mail, or postal mail, you will need to include the contact information
in the body of your submission.
When entering the information into the submission form, please use the
conventional use of upper/lower case. Do not, use all UPPER
case or all lower case. Either of these makes it more difficult to
read.
Please, only enter stories from Military, DOD Civilians, or
Contractors, as well as any family members who resided at White Sands.
All others will be removed.
The White Sands Missile Range Museum retains the right to refuse any
entry that is deemed grossly inaccurate, offensive, or things not in
keeping with normal decency.
