Improved Nike Hercules
Integrated Fire Control Area

This photo shows the Improved Nike Hercules Integrated Fire Control (IFC) area, which was located at Launch Complex 37 (formerly Army Launch Area 3) at White Sands Missile Range.  The photo was taken looking Southwest.

The radars seen are, from left to right, the large dome on the tower is the High Power Acquisition Radar (HIPAR), the Missile Tracking Radar (MTR), the Target Tracking Radar (TTR), the Target Ranging Radar (TRR), and the Low Power Acquisition Radar (LOPAR) (dark antenna on pedestal).

The building just beyond the MTR is the Generator building.  A small portion of the HIPAR transmitter, receiver, control building can be seen just to the left of the generator building.

The ever-present Organ mountains located southwest of the main post area can be seen in the background.
