Red Canyon Range Camp

      Lt. Col McCarthy quenches Nike's thirst as The Honorable Mary Beck of Detroit watches. Ms. Beck represented Detroit at Operation Understanding,or OU, where civic leaders were brought to RCRC to see a Nike launch. It was a public relations effort to win sympathy for putting Nikes near major US cities. It must have worked, there were Nike sites all over the nation.
